Have the A460 block already at 4.630.

Thought process is take a Lunati 4.75" crank.  Have the crank further offset by .100 to utilize a 2.100" rod bearing.  So we are talking 4.850" stroke.   BME 6.0"  small block chevy aluminum rods.    653 cu in.   Thor or C heads?  Sheet metal intake.  Two QF 1600 cfm specials.

What?  Why?   Why not?   How much N20 atop that?

Theoretical target 2000hp.

I'd be a little nervous with the small rod journals and a big hit of Mr. Frosty with that much arm.

Need to look at pin heights and crank clearance too. Getting pretty tight at 10.300 deck.

Might be better to stick at 598 or 632 and spray a little more for the 2000hp.

ok... leave the journal at 2.2 big block diameter. 6.385" big block chevy rod. that gives me a 1.44 pin height to deck. Top ring down .500 still pretty fair amount of ring pack room.

The small block rod would put pin height 1.77" down.

4.75 stroke with a 6.7 rod in a 10.3 deck block gives you a 1.225 pin ht and 632" at 4.600 bore

4.50 stroke with a 6.8 rod in a 10.3 deck block gives you a 1.250 pin ht and 598" at 4.600 bore

4.85 stroke with a 6.7 rod in a 10.3 deck block gives you a 1.175 pin ht and 645" at 4.600 bore getting pretty tight but still doable with a c460 type head because of shallow valve reliefs.

4.85 stroke with a 6.535 rod in a 10.3 deck gives you a 1.34 pin ht but will be an issue with crank clearance and could be a nightmare balancing.

You need to start looking at 11.5+ deck stuff and some billet cranks to get you safely where you looking at going, your quest using such a short rod is going to get messy with piston to crank throw clearance and rings are going to start hanging out the bottom of the bores.

already at 4.630 bore  Ive got 6.8" olivers already.  They are a 2.100 rod journal...and I've already got a damn billet crank...   its a 3.9 stroke.  Time to make a little more umph

Im thinking the 4.75" stroke, and a 6.7" rod... Just have to settle for a 640 cu in..

Also...
If you want to use Thors, start looking for a used set now.
New castings are not available and are not likely to be for a while.

Yes, I know.. There was a set of out the box.(thor).. on racer junk for 3k.......... they didn't last 5 minutes before there were 4 take em posts. Im pretty sure its going to end up with a C head...... As much as I'de love to just crap a brick of money and turn this in 6 months. THis is the beginning of the long term plan, to upgrade the current toy.. one last time. At 51, and this "dream" engine going to take 4 to 5 yrs in sourcing.... Aint going to be a bunch of me time getting behind the wheel of 2000hp and 104" of race car..... But even if I get a year to do it....... got to check off the dreams from the bucket list before ya go.

So  GREAT cam, sheet metal intake, twin 1600CFM carbs....  1300 on engine?

That still leaves me spraying 500 on pro fogger, twin plates... and a soft plum fogger??? 1000 theory on spray??? Realistic output bout 750....

640" and 2 guns will get you there with C460 heads.

Could possibly do it with a single 4, might be doable on spray.
