Timing lights...It Used to Be....

Does anyone know the current height of the major sanctioning bodies timing light beams? Once upon a time if your chin spoiler was 3' in front of your front tires, and it was set at 3" above the ground and you got enough down force at a given MPH with a soft enough front suspension that you would stage with the front tires and ET on the chin spoiler thus reducing the 1320 by 3' (1317) pretty advantageous for heads up racing. Not endorsing just asking as this is a game of inches

Beams are 3" at the start line all the rest are 6"

I had heard the sanctioning bodies eliminated that advantage, by raising the beams...did they also move them out to 1323'for the tire adjustment or just keep them the same?...also sorry door cars...(me too) but would this not lend an advantage to door cars over lawn darts if they have a low slung ft end?

I lived in Ohio when one of the current Pro Stock Drivers (I'll leave his name out as he is already known as a cheater) was really getting hot. He was probably 15 or 16 years old. He showed up at the track in Marion one night and Bill threw him out because he had devised a cable operate stripe taker. It was simply a flat piece of metal (or something) mounted as far forward on the car as possible. It was lowered after the launch and retracted after the finish line.
