Fox K-Member Cross-Over Questions Empty Fox K-Member Cross-Over Questions

I am finding lots of conflicting info on whether or not the '83 Thunderbird K member will fit in my 80 Fairmont. The Mont was an I6/auto car so the engine mounts are wrong, and the early K is heavier. I read that the Thunderbird has a different rear mounting point, I thought all the Foxes were the same???? The track width is also a bit wider on the T-Bird, I guess with skinnies on the front it won't look bad.

Does anyone have a listing of what fits what??

Thanks,
Bill

These guys have a lot of early fox body info on their site.

I think that the track width difference on the t-bird is because it has longer control arms.

It seems that way!!

I can swap the control arms over, I was just hoping to use the T-Bird K member as its lighter and has the correct engine mounts. I'll have a look at the Hollander numbers and see what matches!!
