About how much is charged to have a set of qa1 single adj. struts revalved sealed or rebuilt?

FYI, I paid $700.00 for my old Chassis engineering struts to be rebuilt by him. Special parts had to be made, so I feel he did me right.

Also, Hall really likes the QA-1 stuff. They have the PFFE? coated pistons that wear better than all the other brands. Google him.

Hal is very knowledgeable, and a great guy too. He re-valved my QA-1 struts for our Ranchero last spring, and did a great job. His prices were far less than I had expected. I have 2 numbers for him. I'm not sure which one is best. 772-807-1254 or 772-485-0121. Good luck.

If I had of bought these qa1's. new along time ago I would have them redone but I just bought them for 250 and to have them redone is 160, that frign 410. The guy said it ain't been long since he had them done. But he said he's good for them. I bought some new strange singles.

Is it common to have to notch the coilover sleeves to lock them on the strut, strange singles?

The coil over kit I bought from PA Racing was notched already. But yes it's common to have to notch it.

Yea I called upr and buddy told some reasons why they weren't notched and a good way to notch them. I done got them on. Gotta get an alignment. Any good home remedy way to do it?

I use a magnetic protractor to see if the caster and camber is the same on both sides of the car and then simply set the toe

Why not try them first (to see where they're at) before spending money to have them rebuilt/revalved?

I had mine rebuilt and revalved (looser) a few years back. I can't remember exactly how much it cost, but I believe it was around $200.
