They arrested the wrong one

Not sure what to say here. That's just wrong on so many levels. Patriotism can't be tolerated because it might offend someone, and might put some politicians in jeopardy.

It is a matter of "property"' here and who owns it.  

She is WRONG by the law ... it is NOT hers ... that actual flag belongs to somebody else and they can do, BY LAW, whatever they wish with it unles it becomes a danger to somebody else.

I don't agree with it but, THAT IS THE LAW.

Until our gutless lawmakers enact a law making it illegal to desecrate an American Flag ... patriots just have to put up with it.

On another thread it said she got kicked out the Air Force for poising nude with the flag. I don't know if it was for the nude pics or using the flag, or a combination of both? I believe that no charges were filed and she was released also. If the Flag Act was passed they would have both been guilty, and people would still be mad, and we all would have less Freedom, which is what the Flag stands for. What really pisses me off is people waving the flag while selling American interests off overseas to hostile countries for personal gain.

Regardless of the ownership of the physical item, and still abiding by "freedom of speech", intentional desecration of the flag should be upheld under the terrorism act, or at the very least "conspiring to create a riot" and the campus Police should have stopped it - prior to the inevitable confrontation.

She was released with no charges they just said she couldn't return on campus or they would press charges. They are some bikers going to ride around campus this weekend carrying the American Flag from what she said on the Albany News WALB 10.

Actually the Code says you can't desecrate the flag..... They won't enforce the law because the Supreme Court says enforcing it violates your freedom of speech and expression

I don't think it belong to the protesters either. I'm pretty sure they took it down to stomp on it.
