Any one know of a overriding pto clutch that will carry more than 75 hp?

My old 1950 U Minneapolis Moline put a hurtin on this new one. I was pulling my 15 ft Batwing brush hog I just bought.

How's the fit of the female end? Any slop isn't helping your cause any.

Had to drive it on and off with a hammer, that's not a problem.

The problem is, the newer tractors are hp rated at 540 rpm on the pto, but they are making that rated power at around 1800 - 2400 rpm depending on the tractor. This old Moline is making the 540 rated hp (75) at 900 rpm, so the torque out put is probably 50% greater at 540 on the shaft.

Looks like nitriding might help.  Get some rigidity in the outer metal.

Get 1000rpm clutch and put a 540 shaft on it.

Better pics of what you need? I know we've used PTOs driven off diesels to drive thrusters and pumps on boats. Should be able to find something that fits the bill...

The unit I twisted is a Sperco, made in India. I found one made by Hub City that is a quality piece. I am going to buy one.

It's high as giraff cooter but a nice product.
