Which Engine?
351c or Boss 302 in my 70 stang to play this summer?
I was going to screw around with a 428 I have but damn they are a pita for mounts, headers and accessories
Either way it's going to have 3.89 gears with a C4
Hummmmm ?

Re: Which Engine?
Which generation Boss 302, 1st or 2nd? If the 1st Gen, I would go that route. After all, the Boss 302 was available in that car and it is a Cleveland headed engine.
Re: Which Engine?
He's got a "fake" Boss motor for it and the headers..
A no- brainer to me....

Re: Which Engine?
I would say that any engine family last mass produced in 1977 would become a less friendly engine to obtain supportive parts unless they shared supporting parts with a later engine family.

One hasn't been manufactured since 1970 and the other 74..... But I have a pretty good stash for both.

Re: Which Engine?
Vehicles in the U.S.A were manufactured with 335 series engines and parts through the 1982 year and the inline small block, (sharing the same mounting as a the Boss 302), was put in vehicles thorough 1999.
The aftermarket was much more supportive of those vehicles after 1980 with continuing bolt-on and conversion type parts for both; not the earlier FE vehicles.
You were bitchin' about not being able to easily get motor mounts and other supportive parts for a 428 vehicle and this is the reason.

Re: Which Engine?
With a C4 I'd vote Cleveland.
Now if you were to go standard then I say Boss 302
