When it rains, it pours....

Was getting ready to pull the trigger on a complete motor for sale from a well respected forum member here (G-Code), he made me a smoking deal.
The next day, we get lay off notices at work, and a speech by the bosses about how they are trying hard to keep as many employed as possible (been laid off from this place before).
This morning, on my way out the door, (I go out the garage as its quicker than going out the front door), the Genie garage door opener self destructs and starts smoking....I quickly unplug it and check to make sure its not on fire inside,
Disengage the door from it, close door and go to work.
Come home after work and find that my refrigerator is not working. Go outside and check the main breaker box....none of the breakers have tripped. Quickly switch them all off and on just to make sure.
Fridge still not working. Get extention cord and try a different outlet, no worky.

Decide to go get a few bags of ice to keep all the meats and frozen stuff good until my day off.....on the way to the local store, a big rig passes in the opposite direction and a rock flies off and cracks my windshield:evil:

So my question is.....should I kill the boss??

I know that nightmare. I got layed off in Jan after 8 years with a company. Shortly after my father in law passed away. An hour after that my fridge quit working. Times can be tough but you just have to plow through it. If you want to kill someone save it for Hillary.

My grandfather and uncle were commercial fisherman their whole lives, when we worked for days with no reward hauling empty nets we were always told the same thing - "DON'T LET IT BEAT YOU"...I still remember that 25yrs later and I tell my kids the same thing. Never give up, better things are coming.

Been a bunch of bullshit here also, had to put new tires on the wifes lincoln (995 bucks), battety takes a dump in the exporer (motorcraft) ac unit blew up in the shop (600 bucks) been having an issue w the house ac (500 bucks) so far, i hate the new tstat they installed so gonna call um again tomorrow.

I aint even messed w the car, its close to being running... But the way shits been lately I may just wait until this bad luck streak is over.... Damn

went on vacation and i come home to a blow up 40 gal water heater ....2nd story home .....

I'm not complaining! My knee surgery went OK and I can walk almost normal again! hopefully it'll rain tomorrow and cool off some.

Man, I just want to race again!!

Worked 130 hours on one of my irrigation pivots in June to keep it running and irrigate a 160 acre alfalfa seed field . blew both my knee's out jumping down the last 4 ft from the last rong on the ladders on the towers ! It was dryer than hell , got enough water on for a crop . Now every day a cloud comes by we get 3/4" of rain !!! But most days now my knee's hurt on a pain scale of 1-10 , I'm a 14!!!! Doc say's I need 2 knee replacements !! but working on the racecar motor keep the mind off the pain !! and at night Captain Morgan spiced rum works better than Ox'es

Well, by the grace of God, I survived the layoff. Meaning, that I still have my job!! I will need it to pay off all the damn repairs as of lately!!
