Need converter suggestions.
I need a converter to progress with my build, 1979 bronco with one ton axles . The motor is a 545 stroker trans is a c-6. My cam guy(Scotty) said I should be looking for something around 3000rpm stall. Problem I'm having is that most converters are drag race orientated. I know with my 40" tires, 4.10 gears, considerable weight, and lots of torque any of the shelf converter will stall a lot higher than the advertised RPM.
What I'm asking is for you off-road guys with power upgrades, where are you getting your converters? I've used UCC before but I can't drop $1300 for a converter right now. I will be mainly street driving with some mud action and dirt road tossed in too.
I was looking at this custom converter from Broader Performance.

Or a REVMAX converter like this one;

I have a REVMAX converter in my blown, stroked, mustang now. Works good no issues.
Thanks.
Jess

Andre thought I would be able to get by fine with their street version converter. Not racing it, just a fun toy. $475 is even better Thanks again.
