My first mustang build
I just picked this mutang up, it has lived its whole life in Wyoming and I am the third owner. The second owner bought it out their in Wyoming and then drove it to Missouri and then it lost compression in a cylinder here in MO. He only owned it for 3 months. It has 120,000 miles on it with a 3.8L v6 with a c4 trans. I can't find any rust anywhere on it, this is the cleanest 1984 mustang I have personnally saw. I pulled the motor and trans out this weekend and now need lots of parts. I need to buy an 8.8 rearend, subframe connectors, 6 or 8 point cage with the side bars detaching so I can drive it on the street and not have to climb over the bars, a set of rims and tires for the street, a set of rims to mount a set of 10" slicks on, slicks, a 1" lift spacer for the front K member, double hump cross member, strut tower brace, radiator, weld up torque boxes, and a 6" fiberglass hood, I am sure their will be more. I have a 460 and a c6 that is taking place of the 3.8 and the c4.

good luck
i would love to have it and make it a sweet big block ford mustang that what i did with a 91 from the ground up was a good project and will learn alot as you go and yes it cheaper to buy already done but it a special thing when you put it together yourself or with some friends so good luck and it won't be easy but it will be worth it went you make that nice pass you always dreamed of or smoke the tires by a chevy at the stop light.

Mustang
My wife and I are going to start doing a similar build in the spring. Her Grandmother bought a 83 Mustang new in 83 and she gave it to us. It's pretty rough but we thought we'd give it a try.The nice thing is with the help of sites like this and all the parts avalible you can bolt stuff on and go. Maybe by spring I'll be able to figure out how to post a picture and I'l post as we go along. Good luck with your build

Heck yea, a sleeper. 460 with a Torquer II and K-member spacers to keep it under the hood.
Sneaky, verrrrrry sneaky.
