Followed me home....
My new toy. 08 GT500 19K miles. I had one an 08 that I got right at Christmas 2007. I kept it and sold it after only 2 years since it sat most of the time. I regretted selling it though.
Found this one only 50 miles from home. Same color as me old one. Had to jump on the deal. I know there are newer cars out there, but this one is a clone to my original. I also iron block since it's not an all out race car. The iron can be bored and sleeved if it gets hurt. The newer aluminum block GT500's have a plasma coating on the bores and don't have sleeves. Hard to deal with if hurt.
This one is upgraded from stock. Not going to make a street strip car at this time. Just a really fun driver. The first owner had it for almost 5 1/2 years and only put 3700 miles on it. He is did the mods and they are pretty much right up my alley. The lady I got it from was the 2nd owner of you don't count a collector car dealer in between. Car was originally titled in Pa. The lady I bought it from didn't mod it further or race it. Just drive it and shows. I've been trying to get the first owner info to find out about any hidden mods. No luck yet.
Mods that I can see:
Ford Racing 2.9L whipple supercharger upgrade it. Will make a safe 17 lbs boost vs 9 stock. 725 hp kit. Was supposed to have been installed by a Ford dealer.
Ford Racing adjustable front strut/rear shock kit
Ford Racing front and rear sway bar kit
Ford Racing lowering springs.
Mag Hytec rear end cover (makes me wonder if gears have been changed)
SLP Loudmouth exhaust.
I think the clutch may have been swapped to aftermarket. Much less pedal effort and travel than my original car. The lower effort is something most of the aftermarket clutches have.
It also has aluminum rear window louvers. They rattle and will be removed if I can't solve the rattle.
Tires were the original 2007 mfg's Goodyear F1's. Already put a new of Michelins on it.

Re: Followed me home....
Thanks guys.
Doubt this one will see much strip time....but there is something about having a legit 200 mph daily driver. This thing is very tame and mild mannered until you push the go pedal. Goes from grocery getter to pegging the boost gauge in an instant with 700+ hp
I little tweak here and there but that's it. Biggest thing may be a set of stainless long tube headers.
Now....If Bruno wants some...I've still got the T-Bird. I'll give him head start lol. I'll start back at the water box.
