Titanium valves on the street, yay or nay?? Empty Titanium valves on the street, yay or nay??

I would like to hear all opinions regarding using titanium valves for a street/ strip setup.
Some folks say that the material becomes brittle after X amount of use, and it has the tendency to fail.
They are lighter than stainless valves, which is easier on the whole valve train, but if its at the expense of longevity, should they be replaced with stainless??

This is actually for a hot small block Ford. I have an older set of C3 Ford Motorsports heads with all titanium valves, triple springs with titanium retainers and a Jessel shaft rocker system. The heads have been ported and they flow in the 390-400 CFM range....so they should be enough to make 750-800 horsepower.

With constraints on cam timing to make the engine drivable or at least tolerable in a real street driven situation and considering the cost of good TI valves, I'd be inclined to use high quality SS valves.
