I use some cam follower bearings like that at work and something rotating against them
at 6000 or 7000 rpm I just don't know about how long they would last or what kind of noise
they would make but they would have to be in very good alignment to make all of them work together. confused

It not made to ride on them all the time it was more down the line for the turbo car eating the thurst bearing.

I can see where it might help some. Even with the best made converter that won't it's self balloon forward, won't high trans line pressure still try to force the converter & crank forward against the thrust bearing with a decent amount of force?

Of course using this "fix" on a crappy converter (that might balloon) could cause problems the other direction if the ballooning converter pushes back into the pump.
