68 F 150 2WD 460 headers
Guess there is no such thing as a $300.00 set of 2 inch primary headers. I doing a 557 and need 2 inch at a min.
Mad Dog has them but just a touch pricey........... $625.00.
Anybody know of another brand?

As far as I know, Mad Dog is it. If you find something else, please post up.
I am going to give my Hooker Foxbody headers a whirl before ponying up for MD's.

I had super comps on my 76 but i think there 1-7/8, would that hurt it that much more?

D3 headed 557 will be ok with 1 7/8th wont be a race deal prob 6000 rpm max. 10:1 compression.
Actually it will be a 545 with a cast 4.5 crank and 6.700 sir rods and Kieth Black dish pistons.
May even have (please don't flame) Pro Comp heads.
unless I can find some used Edelbrock 95 cc heads.
thanks for the help.

Re: 68 F 150 2WD 460 headers
I have purchased a set of "Shorty" headers from this place. They are nice, they are 2" inch primary and 3 1/2" inch collector, but they also come with a reducer for smaller (2 1/2" ) exhaust......

Only thing to point out is this truck has the crown vic front suspension swap. Steering box is not present in those pictures. Not sure what your planning on doing with your truck Blake. I bought a set of Maddog 2" Fenderwell headers and they are on my 67 F250 that I have lowered with Drop beams. I had to flatten one tube a smidge to get it to work with the power steering box I used off of a 76 F250 swap truck. In maddogs defense, I swapped the box, never did any research on what box to use, and am using a ZF5 speed with mechanical clutch linkage. I needed the room, hence the reason for springing for the fenderwells. I believe Land L also offer headers but are priced pretty close to the same.
I had a set of headmans for a 2wd. 1-7/8 I believe that I mocked up on there. They surprisingly fit real good other than really making it almost impossible to fish a starter up in after the headers were installed. As for me, the clutch fork side would not work either with the slave cylinder or the mechanical linkage. They did fit however. Just didn't want the headache trying to work on stuff after the fact. These headers also hug the transmission pretty tight and route the exhaust above the crossmember. I know some of the ford truck forums had some comments on low hung headers and tight fit headers. The headmans were tight fit.
PM me your number. Ill text you a few pictures.

I have purchased two sets from Mad Dog headers. One set for a 67' and a set for my 69' Both in 2" fenderwell exit. They fit really well and are really good quality. Options are good too. The last set for my 69' I had him put a slip fit 4" collector on them.
