been a bit since posting , cars is getting wrapped up just working on steering and headers
anyone have any shortys or mids
my longtube hookers and painful
#7 tube with steering shaft sucks dented in now big time using flaming river
jw bell makes it tuff and drivers side collector is just touching trans pan
passenger side is okay now after tweaking it , this is after using 1/2 kmember spacers
getting bolts caught in header tube thats a treat
i can make what i have work but rather not , i have never been so bullshit working on a car probly due to using motor mounts not helping .......i honestly the other day wished i built a 363 dart sbf .
my rants over , im sure the bbf is going to be great and worth the aggravation
so if anyone has any shortys or mid length headers that maybe better than what i got i will pay more than you want for them , racing seasons coming fast and im not going to waiting 45-50 days for headers to be made by a certain place

What type of heads do you have ?
I have some mid-length for a Fox body that fit DOVE type exhaust ports ( Not CJ )
Not cheap....they have been Hot Jet coated inside and out.
I modified them to fit my T-Bird for a forward or rear exit ( I was going to build a twin turbo 460 stock hood setup, thus the high temp coating)

Take a look at "Stan's Headers" ... he probably has what you want on the shelf. He'll usually change flanges or collectors if you as him.

I have a pair of those which I use on a dyno for street/strip type builds.
No reducers, I used 3" tubing elbows as their outlets are 3".
They have fit every kind of head I have used them with and they work pretty well there.

I'd bet my $10 there is no way in hell those will fit in a foxbody. They are made for a street rod with wide frame rails and no steering crap in the way.

CPR
I welded flowmaster ball and socket ends onto them so I could install forward mount turbos.
They fit the Fox body either way

If anyone is interested in how those mid range headers fit, here are some pics.
My 460 sits all the way back against the firewall and lower than most due to me insisting on using a stock turbo coupe hood.

Alan, those look like they fit pretty good I wander if they fit the Aluminum CJ head like they claim only being a 1 7/8" Tube? Also have you ever used the old Mac 460 Fox Body swap headers? If so how do these CPR headers fit compared to the Mac Headers,Thanks

Re: any shorty or mids forsale headers ? my hookers maybe getting tossed
the mid length headers were no picnic either. I played with two different sets of them. first set welding was done with no gas in the middle of the night with a flash light and covered half the port of the head. both sets hit the block plate and the starter swell on the c 6 trans. second set half the holes did not line up on the head bolt threads. there is less than a eight of inch clearance to the frame rail on pass side. dd steering shaft almost kisses the 7 cylinder same as yours. time line on ordering sucked also.....hot rodding is fun.....zbob

I have a set of D&D headers for sale in the classifieds. They're for a DOVE exhaust port, not CJ. Not sure if that's what you need...
