I couldn't believe it something on the c-6 in hot rod .It has performance automatics c-6 shift kit installation .They have a 2-3 servo too as well as a big servo spring they include in their shift kit .The servo looks like our old favorite sonnax though .Really informative they describe what each modification does.Check it out ! I finally read the C6 article in Hot Rod magazine(Doug, thank you for the heads-up)pretty good info considering it's in HRM and it deals with a Ford C6. The servo they spoke of is actually the better fitting Superior brand Super Servo, no machining required Wink.

The only thing I read that didn't sound correct was their servo spring .In the article it states their servo spring helps the servo APPLY harder .Doesn't the servo spring help the band come off the drum quicker ?Good to hear about that superior servo as well .Even with the nice article in hot rod I would still prefer the trans go 67-1 2 .Greg I should be online by now if you cant get the mag in Australia .Doug

I could be wrong, but believe they use a slightly softer spring to give a "harder" apply, Frank advised me to re-use my original "P" servo spring since it had a higher spring rate and was more robust in design than the spring that came with the Superior servo. Never tested the Superior spring sent but the "P" spring/Superior servo combination work great together.

I couldn't find any articles online at Hot Rod magazines website, I purchased the magazine locally. The article may show up after the next month's issue goes on sale.

The sonnax kit has the two light springs . I don't usually use them . I did post the spring rates on here some time ago..

I've only ever used the heavier of the sonnax springs as a trial in a trans i built( it originally had an even lighter spring) I had hoped to see what it was like but unfortunately not sure if the guy ever got the car going yet

I was able to finally scan the Hot Rod magazine article and get the pages to scan correctly. It seems I do a better job of smacking my fingers on my left hand with a hammer than figure out computer tasks. Hope this helps(somewhat).
