CJ port valley pan intake gasket
Is there a valley pan gasket available for 429SCJ? My original iron intake is missing the steel baffle from the bottom of the intake, and it's my intention to use the heat crossover. I've read that oil might fry on the bare intake bottom without the baffle or valley pan.

Not that I know of ... only a regular production size port.

Thank you. Suppose I need to fabricate a makeshift shield.

There is a truck intake gasket set which has a separate valley pan. I don't know the number but I see them on e-bay a lot. Hope this helps.

I understand but the valley pan is separate from the intake gaskets. The valley pan rest on the china walls. I figured you could use just the valley pan and use CJ intake gaskets. Maybe???

Problem is the Valley Pan also wraps around the ports not just the china wall and the Valley Pan ports wouldn't match the CJ Gaskets!!

Cut the flange gasket part of the pan away is what I think he meant.

I don't remember the brand, but I had a set that was separate, with a piece of steel that just covered the valley and didn't go up onto the heads.

No problem. I had one of those pans hanging on the wall and knew exactly what you were talking about.
