I'd like to know what the compression ratio and the cam specs are on that motor!

Great video! It has to be on race fuel or E85. I would never think the garbage pump gas we have locally could support that power....also really cool this motor makes all that power below 8000
I bet you could run a hydraulic roller and make similar power with morel lifters.

Peak torque @ 6000 rpm and 598" = big cam.

That Chevy guy cracked me up saying the BBF at 34 cubic inches less barely edged out the BBC damn I thought 86 Horsepower was quite a bit?

Re: Kaase SR-71 headed 1,100 + HP BBF
We built a 611 CID engine with ported SR-71 heads for Presley Rae Baker to run in her NHRA Super Gas Mustang roadster. We dynoed it last spring down at Jon Kaase's and it made 1137 Hp on Q-16 with an out of the box Air Boss manifold and a single 1450 carb. I remember Cliff Moore saying that it was 1.86 Hp per CID, and that they had done one that made 1.85 Hp per CID but were pulling more crankcase vacuum than I was, so therefore we were all pleased. There's videos of that dyno session and lots of pictures of Presley changing and testing four different intake manifolds all over Facebook on the various BB Ford sites. Then we detuned it and used a smaller 1050 cfm carb on C-16 which is the way she races it. Anyway, it runs really good in her car and at the U S Nationals there were 135 Super Gas cars entered and racing, but only a dozen were able to run the 9.90 index with a top end charge of over 160 mph. Her's ran consistent 162 mph all day long.

What do you think the port work, over out of the box heads was worth? And was it worth the extra effort?

The NHRA Super Street, Super Gas and Super Comp classes all use throttle stops. Their indexes are 10.90, 9.90, and 8.90 et.
As for the porting, I don't know for sure because nobody has ever done a back to back dyno test session with unported and then ported SR-71 heads. However, I will say the unported heads are very nice out of the box. They do have a CNC machined chamber from Kaase. Maybe the porting was worth 40 Hp.
