I am using hales formula for optimum gear ratio calculation in a 1/4 mile. Anybody have an easy way to figure an 1/8 mile rear gear? based on HP, weight, rpm, tire size?
I don't have scales so I'm going off what the previous owner of the car says it weighs and adding some for the big block. The 1/4 mile formula says I need 4.32
