Re: New Projects ???
well when the weather breaks, lol. i am putting the drive train from my zephyr in a caged, tubbed fox body.
....there is enough room for 12inch wide tires easily, no more 235 60 drs.
....along with the seats, fuel system, etc. rob found me a set of long tube, slip on collector headers.
... now i wont be traction limited. rear suspension is old school south side lift bars. front is existing coil over etc.
,,, nitrous is a 125 plate with new solenoids. (ring gaps are set for any mild nos system)
....my income days are over. not gonna update anything , just gonna utilize the stuff i have already in a better chassis. zbob

Re: New Projects ???
Well when I get healed up from hernia surgery. I will start putting our old 557 back together, had a bent rod on # 1 cyl. Got lucky a friend of mine had a new rod he didn't use. Wigged within 1 gram of our rod and same brand, eagle hbeam l19 bolt. When the weather breaks this spring will start on new chassis for my sons mud drag truck. Don't have a heated shop!! That sucks. And will be assembling the new engine also over the summer. Thanks cory

Re: New Projects ???
Taking the 557 to 588, new cam, carb and SR71 heads. Would have gone to 598 but the backside of #8 cylinder is a tad thin. Have the pistons already. Waiting on our move to another house to continue the build.

Re: New Projects ???
Just bought a set of Edelbrock heads for the 69 going to freshen up the 351W might even turn it into a 408 and start restoring it one more time. 1st got to get the Ranger out of my shop and clean out the shop, so I can have enough room to work on it. Nick I will sale you the Ranger and you can go racing don't look like I ever have time to run it anymore.

Re: New Projects ???
Well just sold the Blue Race Car and 638.
Got a 69 clean coupe with the deal, thinking about a 428 4 speed swap in it with dog dish hubcaps
I’m going to pick up a 74 dart sport race car with a 500” wedge, 727 and a Dana in a few weeks
And plan on getting back on my 29 model A pick up in the spring. Hot rod flathead is almost together.

Two:
Fairmont Futura getting ready for Dragweek and Raceweek and a couple of NMRA races.
Anti roll bar
Wishbone
Fab rear end
New Kmember
New headers(bigger/better)
New C6/converter. Still run the AOD as well.
New better brakes
557 is good. Blake may port the heads.
Trying to get in the 8’s on motor
Thunderbird(Thundercat)
New KAASE 415C. 740hp pump gas
New 4R70
Clean it up. Hope the stock hood will fit back on it. Want it to be a true street sleeper.
Looking for 10.0s and 6.50.
Plan to run some local radial races and maybe a couple of NMRA races.

Re: New Projects ???
I'm making one more run in my local 10.50 index ( i won last 2 championships in a row ) then motor will come out to be re-freshend and possible upgrade
I plan on racing yellowbullet spring and fall nationals in 10.00 index as well
last year my wife ran in 11.50 index in a 98 mustang with a supercharged 4.6 2v, over this winter i have been busting ass . I know i will get some shit here for it but i LS swapped it
used a junkyard escalade 6.0 put a carb intake on it headers and swapped heads for some off a trailblazer to get it to 11.1 compression . Tossed a cam in it and put a powerglide with a brake in the car . Its going on the dyno at the end of the month
I'm into motor for very cheap and i felt it was easiest way to get here going right now by doing this . IT kills me being a ford guy but at the end of the day im blessed to have a wife that shares this same hobby and i dont have the money to have another "built" motor like i do in the fairmont as of right now for this car . The car is set up for a carb motor so if the right deal on a sbf comes along i would entertain it in the future .
Below is some pictures . Really cool i won my class and she won 11.50 the same day and was special moment
Had my niece and nephews in a win as well

Re: New Projects ???
Finally got her motor fired up
junkyard escalade motor lower end has 120k on it and heads were sent to texas speed for cnc port work nothing crazy here . You guys can flame away being an LS and i wish it was a ford but for what i'm into it right now being a junkyard motor .
Kind of trying to do it same way i did with my fairmont and keep it simple so when we are at track we can have fun . The car is wired and setup for a carb now so a sbf in the future could be in the works down the line
