Trw 429 scj piston/pistons need 1 or a set 040 over

Hi looking for a used 040 over piston for my 429 scj, trw part # on top of piston is L2366F 40 , would buy a new set if anyone has , they are not making these right now , trying to get motor back together sooner than later , 1 used one would get me going also, any leads would be appreciated , thx

"If" you get into a bind , Racetec/Autotec makes a .040 flat top for the 429 P/N 1000539 uses 1/16x1/16x3/16 rings.

Can’t seem to load a pic of the car , 1970 cyclone spoiler scj radio delete, no ps or pb, 4:30 gear car, 80% orig Harry carry paint, under 80 miles on car, survivor 1 of 1

I have seen pictures of it loaded on the trailer rig. GREAT find.

You could also re-block your short block and go with a different available piston size.  If so, then I do have available:

1) a set of 2366-030 on rods (US$200+ ship)
2) a 2366-030 balanced rotating assy (US$300 + ship).

All parts are in as-good-as-new condition.

Hi thx for the replies , I’m trying not to send everything to machine shop , wait time here to get anything done is about 3-4 months up here , I have a complete 030 over motor needs to be rebuilt , same problem with machine shop, all the 040 over pistons on eBay are to be ordered and the factory aren’t scheduling any to be built, long wait either way, just trying to get it together a little quicker , again i appreciate all the replies , thx jim
