Harmonic balancer relacement brand, stock type.
I need a replacement harmonic balancer for a 1993, stock type. Vehicle is driven on street to get supplies from "Home Depot" what OEM brand is good quality?

Factory Ford is not available? In either case, I'd avoid Chinese / Taiwan as much as possible. You can also have your current one rebuilt.

Rebuilt by what Co. that has a lifespan longer than 5 years for street use ??

For non-racing street stuff I use Pioneer... 872017.

Since we're on this subject Randy and the other Engine builders what are your thoughts on Fluidampr harmonic balancers on the BBF?I've had one on my 466 for god knows how many years a long time i wonder if its time for a replacement!!

I can't answer that as I have never run one on a big block Ford ... they seem to work OK on a small block towing type engine.

I ran a Fluidamper on my BBF for many years. No problems with it at all. But I have heard that in very cold weather conditions, the fluid inside it can freeze and when you first start it, it can possibly be "out of balance" until it heats up and functions properly. But I'm in sunny Southern Calif. so I'd have no first hand experience with this!! LOL

Thanks i live in Northeast,Ohio so it gets cold here!! I know it's old and probably could be rebuilt if they do that or maybe be better to just get a new one!!
