The common Late model spring with the thick wire is what I assume you are after.

I believe  these are the ones your after, the stiff ones. Not sure if the seller has them listed correctly ( I believe they are though ) as some of the early Hipo's had a light spring (Short Ones are Light I believe) with all the spring pockets filled (18), instead of the partial count.

A Couple of Tips on These and Other Small Spring's Like Them.

1. Measure The Diameter.

2. Measure The Wire Thickness.

3. Note The Coil Pitch.

4. Same With The Length.

5. If You have Valve Spring of Lighter Spring Tester Use it and Note Open and Just Before Coil Bind Pressure.


Your Can Buy Long Spring Coil and Cut To Length.

Also They Sell Assortment Packs.

When You Find The Part # of The Type Needed You Can Buy Just That in Small or Large Quanities and make them fairly Quick and Cheap.

Check Your 4R100 Springs For Weight Also.

Then Try Different Combo Count's To See if You Can Match The OEM Weights with 1 Added or Subtracted.

To The Down Under C6er I Hope So Too. At Least They Maybe OEM Mother Ford NOS.

PS:1 The HangUp To Making Them MayBe You Cannot Duplicate The Tight Roll on Each End Though and May Be Best To Find A Good Source and Pay the Piper.

^ I think I may have gotten some BBF Parts from Spark once. They are Local to me or close by. Seemed Like it was a set of Fel-Pro 429CJ Intake gaskets and they had the best price.

It's too bad they are doing basically a bait and switch on those C6 Springs. I mean C'Mon Man One Spring 10 for Bucks's, I Guess the ICE CREAM Fund was Drying Up!

They do have a massive warehouse of parts though. I can't remember if they do local pickup but, it seems like it was no.

Hopefully the other place does you right. He only showing 9 sets left I believe.

I am kinda surprized they are that hard to come by.

My 460 Smogger C6 is Ready to Rock full of Pink Fluid and a TransGo 67-1&2 Shift Kit. Not as Firm  as I would Like but, It'll Do. At Least it's a Fun Cheap Toy. A 750DP Pepped it up a Little.

I was playing 460 Timing yesterday. I was running My 770VS through the water ported vacuum switch.

Apparently it stuck between ports or to the manifold side signal.

It was pulling manifold vacuum to the distributor vacuum pod at idle and running 25 plus base timing.

I hooked the pod to the Metering block ported vacuum barb and straight to the pod. Blocked the other offending factory vacuum line.

Base timing around 12 now. Total looks to be hanging around 40. I believe it may have a wide slot DuraSparkII.

I did not play with it that much yet and need to look further into it. Waiting on Fuel Parts Still.

TransGo C6 Stage II Barks Nice Second gear Scratch on Demand with 31's Tires and 3.54's, Now.

The Only Thing that makes any logic to me about the vacuum line deal and the shift is the modulator signal, somehow.

Also the distributor pod is leaky when tested, but still pulled timing up with the engine running. Odd Kinda Deal

PS Edit: Just hit it with a Timing Ligh at SunDown where you can see better.

Looks like 15, 42 and 50-55 with pod vacuum.

Need to get a timing Tape. Going off Factory Balancer marks that stop at 30 and making my own to space further to 40 and past.
