Short Moroso Valve Cover on P51

Just wondering, will a short Moroso 2.5" (PN #68348) valve cover fit on a P51 head with shaft rockers?

Why ?

There were some for sale for cheap on YB. No worries now, somebody else got em .

I'd still like to know if they'll work, however.

I have shaft rockers on my A460 heads with the short valve covers. Kaase doubles the gaskets. Mine are fine.

I may be wrong, but I don't think there is anyway they would fit either the FRPP SCJ heads, or the P-51 heads. The exhaust valve spring on cylinders # 4 and # 5 comes very close,,,, and most of the time hits the bolt boss (the one in the lower left-hand corner) of the valve cover, requiring some serious clearancing.

Furthermore the short fabbed sheet metal valve covers will be too short to clear the Jomar stud girdle that most of us run.

They'll look absolutely fine! In fact a stock factory production valve cover will work on C-460 heads, and clear everything. The reason they will is because the valve cover rail of the head is raised much higher.

I will be selling my fancy ones after the short ones are made shiney. Not cheap, but extremly nice billet rail valve covers with available chrome plated ShoGun breathers. They will and have covered up my stud girdle on my A heads.
