Sounds cool, I think I've heard of it. People up here cruise the week leading up to it and the day of the cruise you can run open headers. But now the are strict on the burnouts, but farther down the road they still do them I guess. Its getting too crowded with regular cars now, so the real gearheads will go like Wed. before and its all muscle.

Any power figures as yet? I'm really keen to see how much this engine makes as i'm thinking of doing a similar build

No figures yet but with the parts selection it would be 650 to 680 hp, its a combo that's been done before and i am taking it to a dyno but its gonna be the chassis dyno. I was told i could hit 710-720 if i went with a solid roller, but the roller will be next time when i have the heads fully ported I kinda wana see how much hp you can make with a 472'' with these heads max ported with a solid roller and max compression before i try the stroker setup.

Go drive over some more cones you bonehead Funny story though. I had a similar problem last summer. Parked my truck at a park-n-ride, came back at the end of the day and nothing, would not turn over, no clicky, nothing. The battery was fine, lights bright and the stereo jammed (you know me). Tried my spare key and nothing. Truck stuck 20 miles from home. Got a ride home and bought a starter, drove back to the PNR and through that in and nothing, same story. Had the truck towed home and the next two days tried to diagnose the problem. Changed ignition switch, neutral safety switch, had a buddy come over with EFI live, searched online, tried all kinds of shit. Man I was getting frustrated! For some reason I decided to look under the fuse panel under the hood and there it was, some damn chipmunk had chewed through a bunch of wires. Soldered them back together and she fired right up. Man did the beers go down good after that. So I no longer try to avoid those little bastards, now I go outta my way to kill them

Well i got to try it friday nite,i only got two runs in it was the worst nite i've seen at the track in a long time first it was starting to sprinkle on and off then it stopped and was so humid plus the track had little bite. The first run i just eased on the pedal up and down to feel it out and ran a 11.25 @121.24 mph with a 1.57 60' and the next run i leaned on it more still not to the floor and shifted at 6k well it spun off the line and started drifting to the middle but i got straight and crossed the stripe at 10.23 @ 131.71 mph with a 1.47 60' This wednesday is a tnt then friday nite is bracket racing again but one pass in the 9's their gonna say hit the road. I just wanna make some full passes then go for the license runs, the car certed and i passed my physical and joined the nhra so whats left is the lockin trans tube and my window net and thats it. When i can make a full pass then i can find the sweet spot on the timing and carb size i have it set at 30 degrees now and running my buddys carb which is a aed ported 950hp but will try my 1050 dommy soon as well.

Best time so far (time slips)
I ran friday nite and the best was 10.126 @129.23mph (on the brakes) with a 1.445 60' on a 10.18 dial, Im not sure what it would've run flat out maybe a 10.10 ? but the run before that was a 10.182 @132.97mph with a 1.456 60' The best 60' of the nite was a 1.428 but only ran a 10.219 cause i over shifted.
