Bought me a Daily Driver yesterday

I've been wanting something cool to drive back and forth to work for sometime now. Been looking at foxbodies but i already got one of those. A buddy of mine pointed me to craigslist and this sweet 72 Maverick. My first car was a maverick and i've owned 6 of them now, so I kinda like them. This one's pretty sweet, it's got two rust spots, one in the quarter and one in the lower fender, not a big deal. 302/C4 that runs and drives great. Got a few things i gotta fix, has two cheapo electric fuel pumps rigged up on it, needs seats or seat covers, and THE WHEELS HAVE TO GO. The kid I bought it from was bragging about how they were 100 spoke daytons. I politely turned away to laugh...what a tool.

A few things i wanna do are, new wheels and tires, upgrade to 5 lug and disc brakes, grabber hood and duck tail, cam, headers/exhaust, four barrel intake/650 and paint. So basically I just bought a money pit...

Had one identicle to it in the 80's that I drove to work. 250 straight 6 w/3 on the tree.

Dad just rolled his eyes at me when I rolled up in it this morning, but he gave up some good parts for it though. I seen the chicken farmer at wal mart last night, i told him about it and he just shook his head. He'd probably put an LS1 in it and run it on E85

The car is sweet! I had a 70 and being good friends of Brian, we're always talking Mavs. I went to look at the car with him the other night to look at it and I knew he'd own it soon. Here's my plan for brians money... Sell the Mustang as a roller and build the Mav. My car gets done first though Brian!!

Congrats looks like a pretty clean car besides the 2 bad spots you mentioned.
