Well guys it happened yesterday morning. It only took 12 years and 1 month Crying or Very sad I asked my son Wesley if he wanted to go see his cousin play in a collage basketball game yesterday and Wesley said "NO DAD I'll stay home this time"

He has never said no to me in his life when it was time to go somewhere with me Crying or Very sad Crying or Very sad I know he's growing up and everything but damn he's only 12!!!

What's next, no more garage time with me???? I thought I had at least 3 more years. I should have known when the phone rung one evening and the sweet sounding voice on the other end said "hello Mr. Erby, may I please speak with Wesley, this is Lisa"!!!!!

I want to hear from the guys with older sons.

Thanks

Wesley loves his dad !!!! Dont worry Denaro--- I wont push my sons into anything and they seem to enjoy me more ...... when i was growing up my Father always pushed or forced me into doing stuff and we slowly grew a-part i dont want that to happen with my 3 boys ----

My boys are 21 and 18 this year, so I guess they aren't boys anymore. I feel your pain, my kids used to go to the track with me all the time, until Mom figured out we were having fun and it wasn't work for me. We still get along just fine, but they definitely don't think a day with Dad is the fun time it used to be. Neutral

At 24 I can't get him to leave when he come's over, drinks my beer, and takes my tools. I wouldn't have any other way, good kid just like yours. he will still get garage time. lol!

this kinda reminds me of me and my dad
with huntin
my dad is a motor head also but he loves to deer hunt
and fish
when i was growing up i wasnt into that stuff
all i wanted to do was ride dirt bikes and work on trucks and cars
but i am now 29
last year was my 1st year out bow huntin with my dad
it all started when he bought a new bow and i decided i would shoot his old
one once and awhile so he had someone to shoot with
well lets just i just bought a new bow
and i shoot 2 deer last year and he got one
it was a blast
and we even went half on a fish house
and did some fishin
now i belive we enjoy echothers company more than when i was a kid
we were always very close but things change
and my son is 3 and wants to go bowling with his aunt friday
insted of working in the shop with me
