How much power does it take roughly to move a 3400 lb car down the track in 10.5 seconds? (1/4 mile)

depends on how well you set it up and can drive.

650-700 is a good range.

Good converter, good suspension setup, good gearing matched with proper tire height that maxes out right at the finish line, plus wide enough tires makes a world of difference and gets you going faster. Smile

If you've got test and tune night then go and see what you've got and what you might be leaving on the table. Never know what you've got till you open it up and see!

Well I am tearing down the engine because an intake valve wasn't sealing right. I'll probably deck the heads another .010 and gain a bit more compression probably clean the casting flash out of the intake as well. Maybe once I dial it in and all that in I'll put out around 625. I'll look into replacing all the glass and the freaking bumper, that things heavy Shocked Possibly the hood as well

Matt I use alittle gas down in the port and look good around the valve and seat to see if I can see any leaking before I install the heads. The 8* off on the cam could be some of the problem getting it right may make for some more compression and better tune. Yes the hood is very heavy on them or was on my 72 and 73 model they are a mile long or look like it lol!
