1. Expect to pay $200 to $250 for a five angle competition valve job, and even more for the high end heads with a 50* to 55* valve job.
2. If the heads are brand new, have never had a valve job and you are looking at square cornered seats, like with Blue Thunders, then most shops have another charge of around $150 additional, what they call preparation for a valve job. That may or may not include honing the guides to size. It's due to the excessive amount of material that needs to be removed.
