New standards in engine oil
I really thought it would have been the diesel industry that started this.

Interesting, very interesting.
IMHO GM might want to re-consiter doing this as if for nothing else, it might hurt the sales of their vehicles that they place this requirement on.

Sounds like big goverment, forcing people into their ways....and IMO more reasons to buy Ford Products....

Maybe the oil manufacturers could refuse to participate. Just don't make the stuff. What would GM do?

They know our goverment will bail them out again so they don't care about the averge person who buys there stuff.
