It would be better for local pickup, but I think a terminal to terminal or like a greyhound ship would be cheaper. UPS calling for $80. If I had to guess I would say cheapeast couldn't be less than $40 to ship these things.

Not trying to hi jack your post but my son plays in the band we had a horn shipped by greyhound It was going to be 75.00 by ups I think it was 9.00 to ship on greyhound.The guy called us when he shipped and we picked it up the next morning with no problem.I had never heard of this but from now on I will check before I ship any thing large. Good luck
