Anything better than setting the IN when the EX starts to open and setting the EX when the IN is almost closed?

EOIC method. As the exhaust starts to open, adjust the intake, as the intake starts to close adjust the exhaust. If the cam isn't to big, you can go to TDC and set both, rotate 1/4 turn and do the next in the firing order. Be careful using the second method! pirat

It's a big roller so I'll do what Jon recommended. Actually it's his old cam.

Hey, wait a minute, I recommended the EOIC, he just seconded it. Smile Plus, I bet its not big enough to have the roller on a lobe at TDC Wink

I set mine the SLO way. Took an old distributor cap and cut out the center so's ya can see the rotor. Adjust both valves when the rotor just starts to get to the firing position. Both valves should be closed on the compression stroke. It takes some time, and you're goin from side to side. Lots easier or me, cuz i get confused easy.
