a question about a 7.3l power stroke Empty a question about a 7.3l power stroke

Post  bigunitmudracing January 28th 2011, 12:58 pm

My work truck isn't running right its a7.3l power stroke.. so i checked it out and did a compression check.. #8 has 130 compression.. min is 250.. so i pumped air into the cyl and it comes out of the cranks case..
Has anyone heard what is common on these trucks 96 ford f350
My guess is rings are bad, pistons cracked or has a hole in it, cylnder cracked maybe....???
Thanks..
Getting ready to pull it out!

Airbox prolly broken or the inlet tube, look at the edges of the compressor wheel..................if its dusted you'll see it.

You gotta pull it out and rebuild/fix that hole. This is a case where the engine is not to blame but rather the shitty airbox FORD designed and put on it.

the stock junk box is better than the k and n.......................after you fix the motor pour a can of gas on the k and n and set it on fire.

The AIS setup Ford sells is awesome.
