Most of you have probably seen the link to the SDCS flyer on the home page, just wanted to give some updates here...

Attention Fast Door Car Drivers:
The Fab Shop has stepped up BIG TIME to support the Spring Door Car Shootout as the presenting sponsor of Saturday night's Quick 16 event. In addition to the $1,000 cash winners purse, the Quick 16 winner will also receive a complimentary set of custom built Pro-Stock door cars headers, courtesy of The Fab Shop!

These headers will be custom built to the winners application, featuring true merge collectors and Nitroplate Coating! This Fab Shop header package is valued at $1500!

Runner-up in the Quick 16 will earn $400. Entry is just $50 and entry is refunded to non-qualifiers.

The Quick 16 event will run in bracket format.

Any questions, give me or Scott a call.

See ya'll there!

I ain't , that ain't nothing but a yankeefied communistic way of luring fast door cars to their track for nothing bull shit smoke screen crock of shit . Its bad enough they let roadsters in the door car class , much less resorting to these type of marketing tactics. Just my 2 cents of course. , but my blue car will not be there Smile

I won't argue that is a good purse for the entry fee , but you will still be racing when the sun comes up on sunday in the bracket race and get about a 3 hr break before the next one starts if that. Its a very nice track , but they can not handle a bunch of cars.

So you have to enter the bracket race to be able to run the quick race?New one to me.

Lets see, $275 for Sat And Sun plus $50 for the Quick = $325 for a $1000 to win $400 runnerup

One day $175 plus $50 for a $1000 to win $400 runner up?

They have changed the starting time to 10 am since they rescheduled the event due to the spring flooding. They can get the cars through there with enough time , but the parking/ pitting will be the biggest issue. It is one of the best managed tracks around don't get me wrong. The food , management and track prep are great.

My main issue over the entire deal is you have got to enter the main event to run the quick 16 and they are calling it a "door car" race and letting roadsters that do not have doors in also . Its covered in their rules so I am ok with that I guess.

I am not 100% sure whether I am going or not though it will be a hot sob in that car at 12 noon in a double layer suit .Its a heck of a race deal if you can take the heat and congestion it will be a packed house no doubt.

Oh, that's too soon, I have to find a new rear for my car, the pinion bearing is going out, so I'm going to change the gear to a 4.57, so I won't be able to make it.
