Progressive Controller

Post  Tennessee Bullitt on June 9th 2011, 7:37 am

Who out there makes a good controller for nitrous? I have hear not so good things on the NOS, but nothing about the others. I might just go to John Phillips in Bristol, TN since my uncle knows him very well and that is who did his nitrous setup.

I see a lot of Edelbrock controllers at the local tracks on street cars all the way to 4.90 rides. SJ can help you with the setup with this.

The following two both are bad-ass pieces that you can find on a bunch of really fast rides.
NMS-1000---------Zeb is very knowledgeable but can be an ass. (Nothing ever goes wrong with anything he builds.LOL)
xBase Octo-timer--------Toby is a really smart guy. He builds all of his stuff in his basement!

We like the nitrous controller functions in our Fast XFI box. We don't get to use it for nitrous now but it worked really well when we did.

i have a nos launcher and it works perfectly, but had to remove it due to class rules, i have installed the eldebrock and the nos launcher and the launcher by far has more tunning capabilites than the eldebrock unit and the data logging functions of the nos launcher if you do not have a high dollar ignition system cannot be beat. but if you do by the launcher READ THE INSTRCTIONS

I am going from the 6AL to the digital 6 plus ignition for the ease of having timing retard and others all in one box.... less crap to shove in my glove compartment.

We use and sell the edelbrock controllers. they are quick and easy to program and the dual ramp feature works great too..

On another note, progressive controllers DO NOT hurt the solenoids either... Thanks, SJ

Steve,

When do the progressive controllers become a good idea? What systems? How Big? That Cars? are they worth the investment?

Thanks

There really isn't one answer for this ?? basically any time your at or close to tire spin.. If your having a spin issue, they're well worth the money.. Thanks, SJ
