You can have a mechine shop build one.
I had one with my other 10'' 3000 stall convertor but lost it I ran it with out it with no problem you just have to make sure the bolts are tight might not be the correct way but it worked for me.It had the 7/16 bolts they fit tight in the flex plate. But if you have the factory size I would get the bushing before trying to use it.

Try finding a local torque convertor shop they should be able to make a bushing for you and weld it on too .Doug

it can,and beat the front pump up too.it'd be a very easy thing to fix now compared to later.

John if you do use it without it make sure the bolts fit real tight mine has the grade 8 7/16 bolt not the 3/8 studs.Like Lee said if they are loose fitting they will beat the front pump up and damaging it then the trans has to come out and be gone through more money.Like I said I have run mine with out it before but the bolts fit real tight in the holes I had to tread them through the holes. This is no way the right way but it did work for me.I still have that convertor I pulled it out earlier this year and went to a higher 4000 tci stall with the 1.85 polit I got from Lee.I am not telling you to run it without the bushing you will have to make that call yourself.

good plan Wink i would'nt have gave you advice if i had'nt learned the hard way.i had a fmx in my mustang behind a 351w when i was a kid.nice thing about a fmx is the bell can be changed to a bbf when you go to a 460.i got the bell but thought i could use my converter. Laughing thats how i know! also can tell you not to use a converter you dont know shit about, did that too.only ford trans i ever saw with the big shaft {stator tube i think it is}broke off when i started the car.it made a very good stall converter for a while.
