Where did you get the rebuild kit from? What type of friction plates did you use and how many?
How about valve bodys? Do you have a brake? Did you do that yourself to?

I got my Powerglide book today. I only glanced through it so far. It does look very detailed, cool. There also seems to be a lot of things that should/could be done.
What is the Horsepower/torque limits of the stock planetary gears? Question

I do quit a few glides dont be afraid of them pretty simple .But thats what makes them good.I tried running
a c6 years ago .Never again .My nephew has a 66 galaxie with a 530 eld head motor that is heavy
3400 no driver and he had to use a turbo 400 Embarassed

if he had to go to a turdbo 400 he did something really wrong to the c-6, they are WAY stronger than the T-400

I agree w/randy. 4200 lbs here and running 9.90's with a C6 no issues.

Now Tore's gonna see if he can break that trans in his car. I doubt he'll be able to!

I will say this if Frank Merkl hasn't broken one running 7.0 1/4 miles and dipping into the 6's I think someone built yours wrong...... Shocked Trust me He abuses it every pass....
