Awesome another Ford in Pro Stock. Its about time.

Please remember that Jim Cunningham has tried this for a few years but has no backing form ford like Morgan (that's very little I hear). And it was Enders and a local driver driver here for a few races but then went with Buddy Pearson. They could never run good enough. Heck Cunningham owns a race track in MD where his shops at and can test anytime he wants. The guy that got screwed is Humpreys. He had a deal with the Roush/Yates to build his motors and the program has never really even made a pass down the track. Heck Roush/Yates would rather build Chebby's

I'm hoping for better things at Sunday's qualifying sessions for Pro Stock.
After Saturday's qualifying sessions Grace Howell is 28th and last of all the Pro Stockers there.

Sunday was much better for Grace Howell as she did go 6.715 @ 204.60 which was 21st out of 28.

It took a 6.674 to make last 16th spot qualifying position and she went only .112 less than #1 qualifier Jason Line @ 6.603.

That's one tight field of cars.

Grace is a great youngster from Division 2. From what I have seen of her racing, she will have what it takes to get the job done...with the right equipment.
I hope she does well in her new job.

True, but I think it is awesome for the first time out with the car, that they qualified for the field, considering this is a slightly used 2010 Rick Jones car with a temp driver, and just had a Larry Morgan engine installed last week. It quite an accomplishment to qualify in such a competitive class, only .071 separates the entire field.

If one actually makes it into the 16 car field ... with only .07 of a second differentiating number 1 qualifier from number 16 qualifier ... It's mostly all about the drivers from there on.
