Roller rockers

Does any machine work have to be done the the heads to go to studs and roller rockers? Any help would be great!

Then, yes they do, or you can call Randy Malik and get a set of specific rockers that are made for the D3 heads. 586 909 1591

For d3's you need to machine the pedistals and re-drill/tap for the studs. Crane sells a kit, but it uses the small threads into the head and are not really strong enough for any amount of abuse. If it's a stocker type deal, you can get away with that conversion kit and run the roller rockers.

Another option is there are a few places you can get the roller rockers for the studs you have now and call it good, like Schmitty said. But again, I wouldn't want to push it on much more than a mild motor.

Lots of companies sell roller rocker arms for PEDESTAL mount heads.
The special rockers I have made for sale are ADJUSTABLE at the pushrod cup for solid type lifters which need to adjust lash. If a hydraulic lifter camshaft is used then NON-adjustable, pedestal mount, roller rockers are available from many sources
Personally, for those NON-adjustable, pedestal mount, roller rocker applications, I use those from FRPP which will withstand a lot of abuse.
