New a-block main bore measuring 3.186. About how much metal will alien honing removed?

3.191 /.192 + or - is the main housing bore diameter. You should be able to align hone and get that .005 or .006".

Auctually im tinkering with bearing clearance.
?, can you use main bore dia minus bearing thickness then take that answer minus main journal dia to get clearance?

If you are going to do that why not just put the bearing in and measure it then Mic the crank and do it right...

x2, I would think that bearing crush in the block might have some effect to your final measurement.

Yes Rick it will affect it, but some people try to make it harder than it really is.....

The high side is 3.193"
Low side 3.192"
