As far as a460 blocks one I have here the sonic test indicates 4.630+ will work if one wanted too.

As for engines that we've dynoed around here, if I remember correctly, I think one of Kevin's engines was 1071 Hp barefoot and 1371 Hp on spray. That was an FRPP A-96 alum. block however, but both blocks have a dedicated oiling system, so IMO it's up to you and your budget.
