Post  Dave Maxwell on January 1st 2012, 12:24 pm

Need to know if I can drain water oils on my edge granny. Walmart put engine oil in by mistake and no dealers are open today. Can they drain it and refill and be OK. Where is plug if so

just have them pull the drain plug on the bottom of the transaxle and drain it out, then refill, make sure they put the right atf back in, its marked on the dipstickcap. If the car has not been started you should be able to get damn near all of the motor oil out. It should not harm anything, if this was a cvt tranny it would be doomed now.

Idiots...........

Thank you so much. Got hold of boss and stuff. Got extra day. Feel better if ford touches it. I always do it myself. Out of town and thought better do it before I head home since it was over do and didn't have time before we left

I hear ya. Honestly it would have been better to go over than have it f'd up lol, that is unless it was waaaaay over.

I get to replace a complete 6.4 engine in an 08 next week due to a local quick lube screw up. Gonna cost tem damn near $20,000.............they filled the crankcase with a gun and it was putting in 2:1...30 qus of oil in the crankcase it got pulled through the ccv, engine started to run away, hydrolocked and bent a rod. All the lube tech had to do is pull the damn dipstick and look at it.

I'd let my stuff run well over the change interval before I had a "lube shop" touch it.............

Sorrry for you issues, nothing sucks worse than having stuff like this happen when your on the road.

Just glad I took my prozac and welbutrin this morning. Helps with anger issues. They are paying for it, so ill take Ot for what it is. Staying with inlaws in there vacation condo. So no more expense anyway. Hey I type better when not on panic mode. I wanted to drain it before I got online, but there tech was scared. This way its still on them if something happens
