rpm on stock bottom Empty rpm on stock bottom

im spraying my 460 and its spinning around 6700 out the end of the track would like to try taller tires to lower the r's do you think it will help on top and bottom i also have a 3.06 first gear which is pretty low so may help the 60' to. running 28" now would go to 30"

Definatly need to drop rpm's. What's your rear gear? Typical nitrous makes lots of TQ. Going taller tire should be able to ride out the TQ. Mabe a little more ET, but MPH will pick up for sure.

running a 3.89 with 275x60x15 DR 28" tall think im going either 295x65x15 30" tall or 315x60x15 30" tall

To give you an idea my uncle had a nitrious small block 421 chevy. He ran 28" tires on motor but ran 30" tires on nitrous. It made a huge difference. If I remember corectly he was able to cross the 1/4 mile about 500rpms less, that was with a 3.70 rear gear.

my son and i took his malibu to the track sun. to spray it. its a 427 sbc and runs 10.40s on the same day and ran 9.44 @ 144 mph on a 275hp hit. thru a nos mini controller we were real happy but think there is acouple more 10s left in it
