how to fix hole in port

what is the best way to fix a small pin size hole in the exhaust port on a BBF dove head, it got ported a hair to much

where is said pinhole?

If it goes into water, then the best way is to spray weld it. Send it off if need be.

If it just goes into the head bolt hole, then don't worry about it. Ain't no problem.

with head on motor , it is to the right of valve guide, i hit a water port

Put it on alky...Never a problem bringin it up operating temp!

that what i told the owner..he did not think it was funny..lol

how about heating it up with a torch to 500f..weld it..then pour sand into that port so it will slowly cool..the hole is pin size

any luck with maybe a high temp putty..since the hole is so small, edit...found some stuff called thermo steel..says good to 2400f or something called seal lock

IMO, anything less than welding, your customer will be knocking on your door!

We have some stuff here at work that works amazingly for patching cast or steel. It's called Balzoni. It actually has steel shavings in the mix,and when it sets up you can drill/tap and torque it. very pricey but good stuff.

This stuff will fix it.

any high heat that must be put close to a valve guild. ream the guild out for a replacement .

then if there is ever an issue , repair can made.

preheat the head some , then braze the hole
