front motor plate Empty front motor plate

I have an 86 bronco. i have swap out the twin d44 to straight d44 and anyone run into a problem with the steering box getting in the way of front motor plate... i putting in a 460 into the bronco. please help

i am trying to move motor back a couple of inches for weight transfer.. and i have notice the power steering box was getting in the way..

I'm using a plate that I got from Randy Malik in my 89 chassis. I cannot say that it would clear the steering gear, but some kind of cutting and fabrication should get the problem solved. I prefer the steel plate, because I could do anything to it with the tools in my shop. Aluminum is not as easy to weld or cut for me.
