653 CI Thor Headed big block Ford engine / ENGINE SOLD THANKS!!!!!

653 CI Thor Headed engine for sale.  The engine consists of the following:  Eliminator 10.320" deck height cast iron block which has been lightened by approx 70 lbs. by LSM.  The lifter bores have been bronze bushed for .903 lifters.  The cam tunnel is set up for 60mm cams.  The block has a 4.680" bore.  The crank is a Scat billet with a 4.75" stroke.  The rods are GRP aluminum Pro Mod nitrous rods.  The pistons are CP heavy duty nitrous pistons with .990 x .200 wall nitrous pins with Casidiam coating.  The piston skirts are also coated.  The pistons have Total Seal hellfire style nitrous rings.  The lifters are .903 Crower hippo.  The cam is a Bullet 60mm nitrous cam designed by Tony Bishoff with the alternate firing order.  The cam is approx 1" lift net on the intake side.  The engine uses a Danny Bee belt drive and has a Jesel belt driven distributor.  The oiling system consists of a Peterson wet vac external oil pump with a Moroso Fox body Mustang style pan.  The push rods are Manton dual taper.  The basic short block was all new in 2010 the last year I raced and has approx (50) 1/8 mile passes on it.

The heads are Blue Thunder Thor heads purchased from C&C Motorsports in early 2009 & freshened & updated by Darin Morgan in early 2010.  The heads consist of all titanium intake & exhaust valves, roller springs, titanium retainers and keepers.  The heads use T & D shaft mounted rockers.  I do have flow sheets from Darin Morgan for serious buyers.  The intake is a Blue Thunder Thor single carb which was originally ported by Wilson Manifolds in early 2009 & updated by Darin Morgan in early 2010.  The intake is plumbed with (2) Induction Solutions Pro foggers by Steve Johnson. The heads and intake only have (2) seasons on them from being new(approx (100) 1/8 miles passes).  The carb is a 1600 cfm  from Pro Systems.  I have never dynoed this engine but I am guessing it makes 1150 - 1175 on engine in the configuration it is in now and approx 1800+ on nitrous.  If someone would convert it to strictly all naturally aspirated I would guess it should make 1200+ horsepower.  The heads have fabricated valve covers.  I can also supply headers for a Fox body Mustang application.  I have a couple spare pistons and a spare intake and exhaust rocker.  I will try to get some pictures posted by next week.  $23,500.00  Please serious inquires only!!  Contact Kevin Rowe at 812-969-3119 between the hours of 5:00pm - 10:00pm EST weekdays or 1:00pm - 10:00pm EST on weekends.  I live in Southern Indiana approx 20 miles from Louisville, KY.  You can also PM me & I will try to answer any questions you may have.  Thanks everyone for your interest and have a nice day!

It's modified like that for shock tower clearance in a Fox body Mustang, and to have the ability to R & R the valve cover. Those Thor heads are much taller than the P-51 heads.

No, I was not at Holly Springs at the last race, but Martin Connelley a buddy of mine was. Martin went to the final in X275. Charlie Evans is correct about shock tower clearance. The valve cover on the passenger side was modified like that so we could get more clearance to help with spark plug removal on the passenger side plus to have more room to get the valve cover off and on. On the passenger side to remove the spark plugs we use a rachet extension with a welded swivel and then the socket is welded to the swivel, because even with the valve cover modified like that you really can't get your hand in there to freely get to the spark plugs around the passenger shock tower. Man I really need this engine... wish I could afford it.

Wish you could afford it also.  I know the way the economy is right now, this may be slow to sell.  I do not think I have this priced too far out of line though.  I am thinking to duplicate this from scratch would cost approx $35,000.00  I am willing to listen to reasonable offers though. If someone wants to make a reasonable offer please PM me and I will consider it.  The worst I will do is say no.  Please be reasonable though.  I am not going to give it away.  I've had all my rabbi shots, I don't bite and I am fully domesticated.  Thanks everyone & have a great day!
