Does anyone know how far down from the oil pan rail on the block that the ( full ) oil level in the pan should be on a production (83-97) 460 ?

Does the crank sit in the oil or is the oil level right below the throws?

Below the throws, as low as possible without running the pan dry.

IS IT A REAR SUMP, IF SO POUR IN 6quarts of water,and you will see
