Got a friend looking at a lightweight Top Sportsman type build. All round tube, strut, etc. Big inch SBF

What are the mfg choices for an all fiberglass 05-up Mustang body?
Not really wanting to spend the coin for an all carbon fiber type deal so fiberglass will have to do.

So far we have found:

VFN, the have both a stock type or a Pro mod type extended front end. Base price $4950

Ford Racing, this body is the NHRA Pro-Stock body and is sold by Bickel, RJ Racecars, etc. Base price about $6100

Like the Mcamis too.

The RjRacecars body is the Ford Racing body. Same one sold by RJ, Bickel, Haas and Ness

Just stating that I like Tim's Pro Mod/Topsportsman Mustang bodies, and that they're "cool" (as in  Cool ). With my crap typing skills i'm the last person to point out typing mistakes.  Laughing

If it's going to be a shoestring deal that will be seeing a lot of passes during a season (like in a local T/S or Quick-8 points circuit) then the fiberglass body might be the way to go anyway. Fiberglass is a lot cheaper/easier to fix or replace when damage happens vs CF.

And if it is going to be a lot of passes per season deal, he might want to get a second front end now just in case something unfortunate does happen. It might help reduce the amount of down time having a replacement front end on hand.

Gotta love how smooth & slick a job they did raising the rear fender height over the wheel tub area for added tub clearance & also raised the rear deck so you don't have to spend extra time doing it.
