Idk, A.E.M. said that it was just straight line winds between 60-70 ..... but there is a path of about 2 miles , they were sending someone out there today to survey the damage.

Wow, WTF? I just posted in your new car thread.....now I see it with the front bumper torn off. I am assuming everyone is alright, but that sucks. I guess it could have been worse but still .... any damage to the house or just the shop?

Yes everyone is fine, shop took the brunt of the damage. The home has 2 busted windows , siding and some shingles pulled but otherwise structure seems fine.

Had a 96 mph gust in a town n of here last week, storm collapsed.... Happens all the time here in the summer.

Got an inch of rain sat in about 40 mins.... We have 4-6" more on the way the next couple days.... Man its wet around here

Nick sorry to hear this it got to suck not to have it but a few weeks to have mother nature try to take out your ride. But one way to look at it no one got hurt the car can be repaired or replaced but a life can't be replaced.

Might get a nice paycheck today, but he will pay it all back many times over tomorrow. 70 mph straight line winds.... ha.... We get 95 to 120mph microbursts all the time. One block looks like a war zone, the next it didn't even rain. It'll rip over steel power cable assemblies. Takes weeks to restructure the grid. I don't Know why everything isn't underground.. dumb. High based thunderstorms really pound the ground with downrush winds.. we had a weird one last week.. Because our freezing level is always so high, even deep (strong) convection seldom results in hail hitting the ground. The storms almost always produce it, and its very common to actually have the storm eject the hail out the top and away from the storm updraft... but it hits the ground as big cold rain drops. We had a storm drop golf ball size hail... damaged a lot of cars in a nicer part of Tucson. (not a normal occurring event) To hit the ground at a golf ball size in this area, the storm had enough lift that above the freezing level them bastards where nearhardball size.

whatever , this is going to be a cluster..... contractor said it lifted the side of the sun room up, columns have shifted windows wont open ..... fucking headache
