With all your testing and Dyno expreience w/A headed engines and the NEW A460 intake. What carb spacer IF ANY one OR type, stands out to perform better on this engine. I'm asking this because I will be buying a 2" spacer for mine in the near future to get my carb height where I want it.
My uneducated thinking would lead me to believe that different spacers will work better/worse on different intakes because of runner length, volumn, and height. I think my intake is a well designed intake and I know lots of different combos have been tested on it so I'm curious to what you have to tell me. Question

The one inch Jomar power cone spacers make more power than no spacer or a one inch open spacer . I've had some high HP engines that I though would like a 1/2" open spacer under the 1" Jomar spacer....wrong Embarassed . It's best to put the carb where the engine wants it not where you want it Wink

I understand that Lem,but i'm in a predicament w/hood clearance. W/no spacer my carb top is only 1" from the top of my 6" cowl. So i'm raising it above it and cutting out the cowl and adding a scoop on the carb. Hard to explain exactly Rolling Eyes

Use the 1" Jomar and put some kind of riser between the top of the carb and bottom of the scoop.
